Resolutions anyone? I always start the year with hopes to lose weight, get to the gym and run the Turkey Trot in November. I do have to say...this year is no different. I also have an extra motivation of my son's wedding approaching in early 2013. I am so exited for them!

My crafting goals are more realistic this year! I plan on scrap booking at least two layouts a month. Should be easy huh? What are your goals for the year?

I am still in the process of moving. Stamp room is packed and I am having major withdrawals! Thank goodness a friend of mine was holding a Stamp Camp! I had saved my little bag with scissors and adhesive and off I went to create! We made this cute snowman gift card holder. It was made with a folded piece of card stock and then using a die cut. Once opened, you can see where the gift card is placed.

My goal once moved....is to finish up my Christmas cards. I cant imagine not sending out handmade cards for Christmas!

What a busy couple of weeks! We have put our home on the market and had 3 offers the first day. We found a place and will now be in the process of packing and moving. Whew! I haven't had a lot of time to craft, but hope to do so once I get packed and wait for moving day.

I found the template for this card from Paper Crafts Magazine. It was fun and easy to make and of course I got to use my Cricut for the holly and tab on the insert. I thought this would be a great Christmas card to put a picture on!

Are you crafting today? I am cleaning house and getting ready for family to come over for a salmon feast! Hubby is making his famous mango salsa for the salmon we caught...super yummy!

Vacation was a blast! We went to Bend, Oregon and then traveled to Bandon, Oregon on the coast to go salmon fishing with hubby's parents. My hubby and I both caught fish...which was super exciting!

Here are a couple of pics, although I took a ton to scrap. :o) Pics of both hubby and my catch and then the most awesome blue water I have ever seen at Crater Lake!

Here is another card I made for my upcoming workshop. I love to use my copic markers, but since it is for a workshop I used CTMH's stamp pads and the water brush.

I usually make my own designs for my Close to My Heart workshops but...this time I was in love with two (there are many more) layouts in our new Idea Book. The layouts are on page 18 and 28, using the Typeset and Elemental paper packets. I just adore our new Idea Book and the artwork in them is spectacular!

Salsa Weekend!

Today hubby is making his famous TNT Salsa! We are using our garden grown tomatoes and peppers. I can't wait!!! I would share the secret recipe but....it's a secret. Hubby hopes to someday market his salsa, but in the meantime he gives it away to friends, family and anyone he runs into that would love to try it. Or rather who can stand the "heat"!

Why Did I Wait So Long!

I guess I have always resisted change, but really now! I started using Close to My Heart's Studio J this weekend so that I could answer questions from one of my customers. I AM NOW HOOKED! What an easy way to complete layouts. I will not give up my traditional scrapbooking, but I will defiantly add Studio J layouts to my books!

You can check out Studio J and play around with your layouts. You do not have to purchase, but can see what your layouts will look like and the awesome editing tools, paper kits and layout options. And of course, if you have any questions you can email me at tntwisterman@sbcglobal.net.

Here are some layouts I made using the Sofia WOTG. I do love the scrapbook recipes in the kit!

One layout is of our granddaughter Allie's 2nd birthday. It was so funny, she woke up on her birthday and started "acting" two! I almost titled the layout "It's My Party and I Will Cry if I Want To", but decided to scrap her cute pics instead! I think she was just overwhelmed, by all the people, jumpy house, sand box (with pink sand!) and well just all the excitement.

My second layout is of my Mother's Day... such a wonderful day in a St. Helena winery. And even though my boys couldn't be with me, I truly felt spoiled by all my flowers and the wonderful day.

ps...hoping someday I will take better pics of my layouts so that I don't have to crop them so much! working on it...LOL

It was fun to create with the Sofia WOTG. I really got to "Pink it Up"! Having two boys, I generally try to collect "guy" colors. It was fun to create these cards and have used this kit a lot for my birthday cards I make for church.

Just delivered my quilt top to the quilter. I usually quilt my own, but this queen size quilt was way to big for my little machine. I am going to use it in our guest bedroom. The fabric is "Meadowsweet 2" and I adore the bright colors. Now on the the matching pillow cases and pillows!

Workshop on the Go!

I am so excited to be starting out new Workshop on the Go Club next weekend! Here are a couple of sample layouts that I made using the Fanfare kit. These kits include a paper packet, stamp set and embellishments along with directions to make two layouts and/or 12 cards. Workshop Cards #2

I have been a busy crafting bee and loving every minute of it! I really needed to "get lost" in my paper crafting...so therapeutic.

So here is what I have been working on...A Mother's Day card using CTMH's "Sofia" paper packet. This is so girly and I love it! I am going to have some new stampers at my workshop, so I thought I would go over the scallop punched flowers for them.

Isn't the ice cream cone adorable! It is from the "Fanfare" Workshop on the Go kit.

These are two cards we will be making at the upcoming workshop in March. I love CTMH's catalog or rather I love to "lift" from CTMH's catalog! They have such cute ideas that I cant help myself!

I used the new "Bingo Alphabet" stamp set and the "Lucky" paper packet for the Father's Day card. I am in love with the "Mayberry " paper packet (reminds me of an October Afternoon and Cosmo Cricket line) and used the "A Hop" stamp set for the Easter card.

Loving this three day weekend! Finally crafted a bit today, practicing with my Copic markers. Now to my much neglected quilting projects! (I think one of the reason I like making cards is that there is a quick finished project!)

It is Flashback Friday 8.0! It was so hard to pick the first post I had of a 3-D item...looking back on my blog there were so many things I wanted to share again!

This Close to My Heart Circle Album I made for a workshop I held. We had a fantastic, funny summer that I wanted to scrapbook in a mini album and just loved the chip board pieces that went with this album.

This layout is my version of the Wings Workshop on the Go kit from Close to My Heart. I was looking for pictures of my mom and realized that she too was the picture taker of the family so I didn't find many of her. Tip for the day...let people take pictures of you! I will try and take my own advice!

Awe...my first valentine this year! And I finally used my stamp set "Greeting Card Kids"from SU. I was coloring yesterday while watching Da Bears loss....well was watching as much as I could! It is my husband's team and he was not a happy camper....but there is next year honey, next year. *crossing my fingers*

I love these card sketches from Card Patterns! I also entered the Wee Memories #40 challenge. The prize is from iCopic! Whoohoo!!!

Sketches in Thyme #32

This is my last challenge of the weekend...I must get some stuff done around the house! Boohoo!

The layout is for the Sketches in Thyme #32 challenge. It was our granddaughter Allie's first birthday party last year. She is such a sweet doll! I used CTMH's Top Stitch paper pack, the same pattern I used for her invitations.

Its that time again... Flashback Fridays! The 7.0 challenge is our first glitter project. Well...it is a card that you have seen many times on this ol' blog of mine! I used CTMH Prism Glitter (which I adore) on the edges of the snow.

Sketches in Thyme-Card Take #8

This is my first Card Take challenge from Sketches in Thyme. I used Cosmo Cricket's Material Girl paper, chip board and stamps...my favorite collection from Cosmo Cricket! Did you know that Unity Stamps has Cosmo Cricket stamps! I couldn't wait to get my hands on them! I colored the stamped flowers with my Copic Markers. Thank goodness I am going to a class the end of the month so that I can really learn how to use them!

I fought the urge to go shopping for paper craft items online and in stores all week so....I thought I would use what I have! What a concept!

This card set is from Close to My Heart's National Card Making Day from....2008! I had a lot of fun with it. I still have the directions and think this would be a fun workshop. Current papers and stamp sets of course!

It's been a long time since I have been able to scrap! Here is a page I am entering in the Sketches in Thyme Challenge. The pictures are from our grand baby Allie's shower, in 2009! Once I put them in my album, I added more pictures with CTMH's Flip Flaps. A great way to add more pictures without creating more pages.

Layer Cake Quilt Along Blocks #1 and #2

I am finally sewing again! Caught up on my Layer Cake Quilt Along and am going to cut my Meadowsweet 2 fabric to make a quilt for our newly remodeled guest bedroom. It is so nice- I may have to remodel our master bedroom!

I have been collecting red/white/blue fabrics and am using these instead of an actual Layer Cake. It is not too late to join! Just "click" on their blog button on my side bar. Happy Sewing!!!

Scrapbook Workshop Layouts

Close to My Heart came out with an awesome new "how to" book. It has many ideas for "inter-active" scrapbook layouts. I wanted to use some of the recipes for our next workshop but it was so hard to pick just two! We will have to do more in the coming months. I hope you can see the "inter-activeness" from my pictures! The "I Heart Fall" layout is right out of the Magic book! Different paper but same idea. Totally "scrap-lifted"! I used CTMH Flip Flaps on the "Merry Christmas 2010" layout. I love how you can add so many pictures to one layout!

A Goodbye, Good Luck and Happy for You Card

Another of my friends is moving onto a new job and abandoning me! HA! (a little dramatic huh?) I will miss Angela so much! And as with Melissa leaving....I just cant say goodbye! So...I used "So happy for you"...major denial huh? I do know that it wont be as easy to visit her but thank goodness for texting with our iphones!!! I do wish you the best Angela!!!

I used all CTMH products and of course I am hooked on their Irresistables! You just sponge ink on the chipboard and like magic the embossed pattern shines through. Hooked I say! (you will see more in my next posts)

Happy Wednesday! I made my samples for our upcoming Craft Day at church. We are having a day for the ladies at our church to make crafts for the holidays...cards, ornaments, knitting and I thought journals would be a great gift for the holidays.

Layer Cake Quilt Along 2010

Time to get ready...the Layer Cake Quilt Along 2010 starts on November 2nd!

I participated in the Jelly Roll Quilt Along and had so much fun. Every two weeks Moose on the Porch posts a block with instructions. After twelve blocks you have a quilt top! The directions are wonderful for beginners too. When finished with your block each time, you load it on Flicker and you may win a prize! Oh and you dont have a layer cake? You can use fat quarters...that is what I am using!

Here is a Thanksgiving/Thank you card...multi-purpose! Ha!!! CTMH has these cute little pearls in many colors that are super fun to use!

I am now getting ready for the Giants game....SRT I hope you and Barkley have your walk scheduled!!! (my friend has a good luck ritual that has proven to work on the Giants vs. Braves series...I hope it works against the Phillies!) Go Giants!!!

I just purchased "Heartfelt Christmas" from CTMH...the deer is so cute and I am loving the new Sparkles! Can you see his little nose?

Today is my son's 27th birthday...where did the time go! Happy Birthday Brian! Oh and go Giants! I sure hope they pull off a win tomorrow!

Beautiful Weekend!

I took an extra day off this weekend to get caught up, relax and to craft a bit. We went fishing on Saturday at Fuller Lake and then took a little hike at Emerald Pools...it had such beautiful, clear, emerald water...there is so much beauty in our own backyards! We just need to take the time to visit! As far as crafting goes...I finished my "scrappy quilt". It is totally made with my left over scraps and I felt so resourceful to be able to use my scraps to make something so beautiful!

Tonight is game 4 for the Giants....please give us a win! This has been an exciting series and to bring home a win tonight would be BEAUTIFUL!

Close to My Heart has a new sentiment stamp set for Christmas in the new Fall/Winter catalog. I love this saying because I think it sums up one of my favorite moments at Christmas time..."Being together is the Best Gift of All". I look forward to our family being together. :o)

We will be making this card at our next workshop. It has ribbon that reminds me of ribbon candy at Christmas!
