Fat Quarter Shop's Designer Block of the Month

I was so excited to see the Designer Block of the Month this year. They are using Fig Tree's Strawberry Fields! I have always loved Fig Tree and always will! Check out Fat Quarter Shop's website...so many yummy must haves!

Cheery and Bright!

Just sharing the New Block of the Month I am working on...it is called Jelly Beans and is super bright and cheery! I love bright colors, reminds me of summer which is almost here! Whohoo!

Something New...

I have a new block of the month that I started. Two of my dearest friends that I worked with over 25 years ago have gotten together to meet once a month at Quilters Corner in Sacramento. This is the January block we have made. I makes my heart happy to have us all together again! This is called Redwork and once all the months are finished will be made into a wall hanging. (I used brown thread so...is it called Brownwork?)

October Block of the Month

I can't believe I am posting this. This block has lots and lots of seams, but as I always tell my bff "matching seams is so over-rated!" I am so glad I started tonight, it definately was not a last minute project.

September BOTM

Boy oh boy! I never thought I would finish my Block of the Month. Between my sewing machine going to the doctor and being sick myself...I finished my square 10 hrs before it is due! I love the first Saturday of each month. I bring my finished block in to the local quilt store. We received another block to finish by the next month. What keeps us coming back each month? I meet my bff and we go to breakfast...really we do it for the breakfast!
