Happy, Happy Birthday to You.....

Hope you are enjoying your week. Kinda nice having a holiday in the middle of the week, a little break from payroll, month end and year end! 

I used an "Easel Card" pattern and blinged it up.  I "lifted" the bird, bling and paper idea from the Close to My Heart Spring/Summer Idea Book.  Thanks for looking and hope you had a wonderful 4th of July!

You're An Angel

I can't tell you how much I love Close To My Heart's "Footloose" Paper Packet!  It screams summer vacation!  I used a water brush to give the sweet angel fish some color and of course some bling!

Card Set Workshop

Thank you Vicki from the Wizard's Hangout!  I was in need of a fresh idea for my upcoming workshop and this box is adorable.  So many ways to decorate it.  I opted for some simple cards to fit inside and used Close to My Heart's Roxie paper packet.  I know the girls are going to love the bling!

Scrap-lifted....

I usually make my own designs for my Close to My Heart workshops but...this time I was in love with two (there are many more) layouts in our new Idea Book. The layouts are on page 18 and 28, using the Typeset and Elemental paper packets. I just adore our new Idea Book and the artwork in them is spectacular!

Sneak Peek...

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Did you hear the chirping....I spent a entire day on Saturday playing with my new CTMH Art of Philosophy Cricut Cartridge! The card, circle, sentiment shapes, scallop boarder, everything is cut with this cartridge. No fussy cutting or punches. It really is amazing!

Here are a couple of cards that we will be making Sunday at my upcoming workshop. Did I say I just love our new Cricut cartridge!

Welcome Banner

This banner was so fun to make! I want to make one for every holiday! (working on a 4th of July banner next) We will be making this at our next workshop on May 22nd.

I used Close to My Heart's Chipboard Banner and Wings paper packet. There are butterfly die cuts and bling too! I got the idea from Lisa's Creative Corner. Check out her blog, it is the best!

Workshop Cards #2

I have been a busy crafting bee and loving every minute of it! I really needed to "get lost" in my paper crafting...so therapeutic.

So here is what I have been working on...A Mother's Day card using CTMH's "Sofia" paper packet. This is so girly and I love it! I am going to have some new stampers at my workshop, so I thought I would go over the scallop punched flowers for them.

Isn't the ice cream cone adorable! It is from the "Fanfare" Workshop on the Go kit.

Close to My Heart Idea Catalog

These are two cards we will be making at the upcoming workshop in March. I love CTMH's catalog or rather I love to "lift" from CTMH's catalog! They have such cute ideas that I cant help myself!

I used the new "Bingo Alphabet" stamp set and the "Lucky" paper packet for the Father's Day card. I am in love with the "Mayberry " paper packet (reminds me of an October Afternoon and Cosmo Cricket line) and used the "A Hop" stamp set for the Easter card.

Scrapbook Workshop Layouts

Close to My Heart came out with an awesome new "how to" book. It has many ideas for "inter-active" scrapbook layouts. I wanted to use some of the recipes for our next workshop but it was so hard to pick just two! We will have to do more in the coming months. I hope you can see the "inter-activeness" from my pictures! The "I Heart Fall" layout is right out of the Magic book! Different paper but same idea. Totally "scrap-lifted"! I used CTMH Flip Flaps on the "Merry Christmas 2010" layout. I love how you can add so many pictures to one layout!

This is a our December Workshop Mini Album. I used CTMH Flip Flaps for the inside photo covers. It is a very easy and fast gift. Hope you can join us on December 5th!

Here is a Thanksgiving/Thank you card...multi-purpose! Ha!!! CTMH has these cute little pearls in many colors that are super fun to use!

I am now getting ready for the Giants game....SRT I hope you and Barkley have your walk scheduled!!! (my friend has a good luck ritual that has proven to work on the Giants vs. Braves series...I hope it works against the Phillies!) Go Giants!!!

A Deer Card....

I just purchased "Heartfelt Christmas" from CTMH...the deer is so cute and I am loving the new Sparkles! Can you see his little nose?

Today is my son's 27th birthday...where did the time go! Happy Birthday Brian! Oh and go Giants! I sure hope they pull off a win tomorrow!

The Best Gift of All

Close to My Heart has a new sentiment stamp set for Christmas in the new Fall/Winter catalog. I love this saying because I think it sums up one of my favorite moments at Christmas time..."Being together is the Best Gift of All". I look forward to our family being together. :o)

We will be making this card at our next workshop. It has ribbon that reminds me of ribbon candy at Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

Time to put down my fabric and start preparing for Christmas! (although I did save some binding to hand sew while I watch Greys tonight!)

This card will be one of cards being made at my Christmas card workshop next month. I love the Dimensional Elements Snowflakes from CTMH with Prism Glitter! I also used the new paper packet Mistletoe and the new Sparkles. Love the many new colors that Sparkles come in! Shades of blues/greens and reds/purples. Good Eats!

Here is the recipe box we will be making at our workshop on August 15th. It has adorable recipe cards from Close to My Heart. The set comes with stickers that I used for the "Good Eats" label. I love their new little boxes that you can use for storing any little treasure, cards and of course recipes! I used acrylic paint to color the edges. You can have your choice of colors for the edges, stickers for the label and I have a couple of chipboard features that you can "make it your own".

Disneyland Workshop Layouts

These are the layouts we made at our workshop last Sunday. It was fun scrapping some of my pictures from last years trip although....there are lots more to scrap! I have some final touches to finish, like some journaling but wanted to share what I have been working on. (one of the many projects!)

tip: my cricut cartridge cuts perfect mickey mouse ears...found that out after I did my sample layout...the gals got the perfect ears for their projects though!

March Workshop Journals

I was getting a little stressed out with the lack of time for crafting but...I am finished with my samples for the March workshop. Yeah! I am extra excited about this workshop because...at our December workshop I gave the ladies a "challenge". We did this last year so it is our 2nd Annual Contest. I gave them a CTMH "My Creations Memory Showcase Album". They are to decorate, embellish and include pictures. The lucky winner will win a stamp set of their choice. I can't wait to see them!

I had fun making these "My Creations Journals" from Close to My Heart and will definitely need to order more for quick gifts! The ideas are endless...prayer journal, garden journal, grateful journal, quilting journal...so many ideas so little time!
